Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year, two really. We were so blessed to have Superdad's sister here for a week prior to T-Day. Because she was flying out on Thursday, she made a great Thanksgiving dinner for all of us on Wednesday. Oh my, her apple pie was so delicious. My family celebrated again on Friday, since both Superdad and my dad were gone on Thurs. So we ate again, and once again it was all delicious. I think I am a fan of having two Thanksgiving feasts...lots of turkey to go around. We espcially missed Uncle B, Aunt K and Cousin J and we can't wait to see them next month!

Not so hot...

So, it appears that I am a really bad blogger. I mean, things happen, and I think, "ooh I should post about this", and then I don't.

Our camera is on the fritz right now, so that does have something to do with it but it isn't a good excuse.

maybe tonight...

Exersaucer- third time around

I love our exersaucer. We got it as a Christmas gift when Supergirl was 6 mos old, and it has been the absolute best baby item ever! Keeping the baby entertained- Great! Keeping the baby in a confined location- Better!

After 3 kiddos (including cute cousin J), it has held up great and we finally put Superbaby in it this week. When we first plopped him in he began to cry hysterically, not a good sign for my life-saving, baby containing toy. Thankfully we tried again the next day and he did better.

For some reason, this toy has aged him. Since he is old enough to play in the saucer he just isn't my newborn anymore. Sad and happy at the same time.

New Posts

Hello blog readers. I have updated a ton today, so don't forget to scroll all the way to the bottom. Enjoy the pictures and I'll try to be better at keeping everything updated. Enjoy!

HOORAY! It is Preschool time!

Oh how I love preschool. Supergirl needs it...and I need it too. It is so great for her to interact with other kids, but also another adult. Needless to say, we are all happier on preschool days. Even Superboy feels the love because he gets undivided attention.

Before leaving for school. She is a bit posey, but you get the idea.
My "big" girl, if only in spirit. She is still the smallest in the school, even the 3 year-olds are at least her height.
Off to the Children's Museum, train in hand. Superboy rarely goes anywhere without some sort of truck, car, train, plane or helicopter in his hand.
Yeah, Superbaby is excited too. What? You can't tell?

August

Thankfully this month wasn't nearly as busy as July. We got to relax a bit more and hang out.
At 3 months we were able to see Superbaby's personality so much more. He is a very laid-back, smiley, squealy baby. He is easy going, and only gets upset when he's hungry. He has been sleeping through the night since 2 mos, waking around 4 or 5 am to eat. He is content to sit in his swing and watch the happenings around him. However, the downside to this is that he doesn't get put down on the ground very often for fear of trampling! Superboy was already twisting to roll over at this point and Superbaby couldn't seem to care less.
He doesn't love being on his tummy much yet, but that is ok...right?
He LOVES when we rub his nuckles together. Seriously thinks it is hilarious.
Superboy got a new room this month to share with Superbaby eventually. He likes having more of the toys in his room, but most often we find him digging through the board books. He has really taken an interest in books and being read to, which I love.
But, let there be no confusion, this red jeep is his ABSOLUTE favorite toy. He totes it around with him most days. And what is up with the hat you may ask? We were at a shoe store and Superdad put it on his head. Superboy did not try to take it off at all. He left in on through dinner at a nearby restaurant (so funny!) for the entire drive home, and didn't remove it until we put on his jammies. Ok fine, we had to remove it, but the boy would have slept in the thing if we had let him!

And I couldn't resist a picture with the kid :0)
Let us not forget Supergirl though. This is a nearby sprinkler park that we really enjoy. They have all sorts of fun whales, rocks, boats, frogs and water spouts all over. Perfect for a hot day!

Despite the look of boredom on their faces they were having fun. They were concentrating really hard on a nearby water spout, waiting for it to erupt.

Superboy taking to the stair to go down the BIG SLIDE. He is a dare devil.
And a few more of Superbaby, just because he is growing so quickly.

Daddy's boy. Superdad can get Superbaby to fall asleep on his chest almost without fail. No fair.

He can get him laugh too. Daddy's just have all the skills :0)

July Fun

Here are some more fun things we did in July, plus some pictures of how big Superbaby is getting! These aren't in any particular order, just a glimpse of some of my favorite July memories.
What happens when you leave a box of donuts on the kitchen table? Donut Disaster! Superboy seems to enjoy the chocolate ones the best. I had to corner him before I could even get him to stop running away from me. He thought I'd take it from him... Silly boy.
Superbaby discovered that he has a tongue and that it feels funny.
And then he discovered that he is funny
The kiddos. I gave myself a pat on the back that they are even all in the same frame, let alone looking at me. Suffice it to say that Superboy is a runner, and Supergirl had to hold on tight!
Point Defiance Zoo merry go round. This is one of my favorites because, if you'll notice, Superboy is riding on a slug :0) They have all sorts of funny zoo animals, and then the traditional horses of course.
This is my abosolute favorite picture of the summer. Just a tender moment caught between a big sister and her little brother.
More head lifting practice
Ahah! Mom is funny too!
Superboy fell in love with his baby. He was putting the baby into the baby swing, picking him up, hugging him and then putting him back. Precious.

Sargent Family Visit

Great-Halmony, Halmony, Grandpa, Gomo, and "Gomo's friend" came to visit for the entire month of July. It was so nice to see them all!

We blessed Superbaby that first weekend :0)

We explored the Seattle Waterfront Sculpture Park:
