State 2008

Whew! What a weekend. I just got back from taking my team to the State Dance/Drill competition in Yakima, WA. We had such a good time, and the girls did awesome! I am so proud of how hard this team worked. It was long, exhausting, nevermind that I am 8 mos pregnant. I am so happy that I had the opportunity to coach this team. I am going to miss our graduating Seniors a lot, but I am also really excited to start things up again for next year!

Killing time before the comp. starts on Saturday.
Waiting to go on the floor to do their Pom routine
SMILE!

Here is a youtube link to their Drill performance. We took 3rd in the State. Not too shabby! ;)

30 weeks

Preggy update. I am now 30 weeks and a few days. Everything is fine, although I am feeling a lot more tired than I was last month. This is my first baby to prefer somersaults over kicks. Honestly, there are days when this kid seems to just keep rolling around. I have a Dr's appointment tomorrow, so hopefully all will still be progressing well.

Pacific Science Center

We had such a great day at the Science Center in Seattle. I was nervous that the activities would be to "big kid" for Supergirl and Superboy. My worries were for naught, because the museum was awsome. There was a huge exhibit all about tress. There were play areas, activites, puzzles, building stations, etc that all dealt with our forests and wood. The kids had so much fun! There was also an entire "Tot" section, full of so many fun climb-on toys, instruments and bubbles, that we could have stayed for hours. We had so much fun!

"POP"

My tummy that is. I am now 27 weeks, almost 28, and everything looks great. I can't believe I only have 11 or 12 weeks left! Heartbeat is at 148, we are measuring right on and the doctor is happy :) We really are in the home-stretch now. Can't wait for this little superbaby to arrive!

Disneyland

We went to Disneyland last week with my entire side of the family and had so much fun. I will write more about our adventures, but here are just a few pictures to share for now.

Supergirl's January Journal

I'm going to copycat my dear friend Kristie and post Supergirl's January journal. J and Supergirl attend the same preschool and at the end of each month they bring home their journal. It is a collection of dictations that they give to their teacher based on the topic/letter/idea of the day. They can be pretty funny and make absolutely no sense, but I love them anyways.

Snow:

- I like snow.
- I play in snow with a snowman.
- I eat snow.
- I throw snow at Mommy. (this is true :) )

Polar Bears:

- Polar Bears live in the snow.
- Polar Bears sleep in the snow.
- Polar Bears roll in the snow.
- Polar Bears eat snow and fish. Polar bears catch the fish in the water. I don't eat fish, we eat crabs. (which is entirely untrue, we love fish. But, we love crabs too. Guess the little pinchy buggers made an impression on her.)

A Trip to the Moon:

- When I go to the moon I will take an apple. (what a sensible snack)
-I will wear a space one clothes to the moon but I don't have some so I will buy some to the store.
- I will ride int he rocket to the moon.
- The new guy (who is this?) will take me and Mom to the moon. Daddy is at work. We will be happy to ride on the rocket.
- I will see a rocket bunny out the window of my rocket on the way to the moon.
- I will do a bouncy ball and slide on the moon.

And incase you, like I, seem to be curious about a Rocket Bunny, check him out in Supergirl's illustration. Can you see his two pointy ears and whiskers? Inside the rocket ship are Daddy, Mommy, S.G and S.B. Oh, and that is the rocket fire shooting off of the rocket. :)

I was book-tagged by my dear friend Monique. So here goes!

The rules are as follows:
1. Pick up the nearest book (at least 123 pages)
2. Open the book to page 123
3. Find the fifth sentence
4. Post the next 5 sentences
5. Tag 5 people

The closest book to me is a baby names book, so that wont really work. But in case you're curious, the 5th name on p.123 is Marguerite (French) a form of Margaret.

The next closest book with actual sentences is my quad.

P. 123 Exodus 28
25 And the other two ends of the two wrethen chains thou shalt fatten in the two ouches, and put them on the shoulderpieces of the ephod before it.
26 And thou shalt make two rings of gold, and thou shalt put them upon the two ends of the breastplate in the border thereof, which is in the side of the ephod inward.
27 And two other rings of gold thou shalt make, and shalt put them on the two sides of the ephod underneath, toward the forepart thereof, over against the other coupling thereof, above the curious girdle of the ephod.
28 And they shall bind the breastplate by the rings thereof unto the rings of the ephod with a lace of blue, that it may be above the curious girdle of the ephod, and that the breastplate be not loosed from the ephod.
29 And Aaron shall bear the names of the children of Israel in the breastplate of judgement upon his heart, when he goeth in unto the holy place for a memorial before the Lord continually.

Hmmm... so there you go, Ephod and all

I tag Amber, Ashley, Bonnie, Janice, and Michelle. Hopefully you will get a better selection than me :)

Children's Museum

I love living near Seattle and having access to a wonderful children's museum in the Seattle Center. Grandpa and Halmony bought the kids a membership for Christmas and we are trying to use it as much as possible. Here are some fun pictures from our most recent trip.

23 weeks

So, if you didn't already know, Superdad and I are expecting a new Baby Sargent around May 25th. We are going to be surprised about the baby's gender, and we are really excited. It will be fun to have a surprise from beginning to end. Since we have already done the girl thing, and boy thing, this baby will be special in it's own way. I think I'll be able to tell, once I start showing more, but if you have a guess please post it, we'll see who wins :)

Picture is from 2 weeks ago @ 23 weeks, I'll post another soon.

Blankie

Superboy has become very attached to his blanket this month. He has a word for his blankie, something along the lines of "gink-a", and he thinks he should always have it. So, this post is a tribute, to blankies :)
