Children's Museum

I love living near Seattle and having access to a wonderful children's museum in the Seattle Center. Grandpa and Halmony bought the kids a membership for Christmas and we are trying to use it as much as possible. Here are some fun pictures from our most recent trip.

23 weeks

So, if you didn't already know, Superdad and I are expecting a new Baby Sargent around May 25th. We are going to be surprised about the baby's gender, and we are really excited. It will be fun to have a surprise from beginning to end. Since we have already done the girl thing, and boy thing, this baby will be special in it's own way. I think I'll be able to tell, once I start showing more, but if you have a guess please post it, we'll see who wins :)

Blankie

Superboy has become very attached to his blanket this month. He has a word for his blankie, something along the lines of "gink-a", and he thinks he should always have it. So, this post is a tribute, to blankies :)

Tea Anyone?

Supergirl LOVES to cook. She will without a doubt play cooking at least once a day. Today however was especially special, as she set up a tea party for her dolls in the kitchen. She was so meticulous about where everything went, and what each baby got to eat. She was a great hostess!

First Birthday Hanbok

In Korean culture, all babies have a very special first birthday celebration, and they wear a traditional costume called a Hanbok. All Superboy wanted to do was run around. To think that he didn't think that posing for pictures was important. I think he looks adorable and I especially love the hat!

Drill Team

After reading some previous comments, I realized that I have not mentioned that I coach the drill team at HHS. I was on Hazen drill my Junior and Senior year (so long ago...) and had so much fun being a part of that team. I was somewhat coaxed into applying for the job by a sister in my ward who's daughter is on the team, but I am so glad that she brought it up. The team was in real need of a coach, since the previous one had a baby in August and the school still had not found a replacement for her. I had to hit the ground running with a team who's season had already been started for a few months. I am really loving working with the girls, and I get to have a lot of fun. The job is a TON of work, but I think next year will be a lot easier. I don't really have any pictures but there is a link to our first competition on youtube. They did a good job. The competition was EXTREMELY close with the top 4 teams all being 1 point apart from each other. I'll probably do another update after our state competition. Go HHS!

Not much happening

As we are two weeks into January, you'd think that I would have something to post about, but alas, it has been a slow month. We started everything out with a huge bout of sickness for Supergirl and boy. She for 4 days, he for the next 4.

They were slugs. Snotty, limp, tired and they had fevers. Doesn't he just look pathetic. Poor kiddo. Definitely not my normal, happy Superboy. Not so fun for mom. Luckily I didn't catch it, and they are both fine now. Superdad has been working a ton to try and earn some extra buckeroo$ for our trip to Disneyland in February. I have been busy coaching the drill team each day. We haven't had much time for fun. Boring eh? But, we are here, alive, and perhaps we'll do something 'blog worthy' tomorrow...we'll see.

Santa Came!

Superdad had to work on Christmas this year, and since waking up the kids at 5:30 to open gifts before he had to leave was out of the question we had to get creative. On Christmas Eve morning Supergirl woke up with a rolled up note on her pillow. It was a letter from Santa explaining that he knows her daddy has to work on Christmas and Rudolph (she is very into Rudolph, almost more than the big man) suggested that they stop by our house first when they leave that night. He thanked her and Superboy for being such great kids, reminded her about his favorite snacks, and sealed the letter with some sparkly glitter. She totally bought the whole thing. When we returned from Grandma and Papa's house that night, she wasn't sure if he had come, but Santa never breaks a promise!

Yee-haw! Superboy new exactly what to do and jumped right on!
We truely had a wonderful Christmas. We missed Superdad a ton during the day, but he joined us that evening and opened presents with my family. I love the holidays!

First Birthday pics...a month or so late

Superboy fell a lot in November. A lot. And for almost the entire month he had some sort of greenish blue bruise on his cheek, eyes or chin. I put off his pictures for a week, and then another, and then another. Just as he'd heal up, another bruise would appear, or a cold, or some other malady. Then, with Christmas, getting into the studio was a joke. So here we are, 13.5 months old and just now getting his birthday pictures done. At least we got some great shots. What a cute chub!

This is my favorite because it shows Logan's dimply smile.
