Where have we been

We finally got to move into our new apartment on wednesday. As soon as I find the camera cable amongst the boxes, I will upload pictures and update everyone on our lives.

Uncle J

Superboy and Supergirl love their Uncle J. He is very cool and they both know it. After the feux-hawk, Superboy was eyeing Uncle J's sunglasses. I love this picture because you can see all of us trying to get his attention in the reflection.

Uncle J also plays the guitar. The other night he was playing in the living room for all of us. Superboy was fascinated with it and kept trying to strum the guitar strings. Supergirl danced, twirled, lept and spun around the room as he played. It was a lot of fun to watch them interact with him, and I think he liked it as well.

The feux-hawk

Superboy has a lot of hair. It gets cut about every month, and actually he could use a trim right now. However, Uncle J found something to do with it all, he gave Superboy a great

feux-hawk. I'll admit that I really liked it, although I think it makes him look older.

What else?

Before we left on vacation I knew that Superboy was cutting two teeth on top, just not his center teeth. Well, two days later I feel one of his center teeth popping through as well. Poor kid has three teeth coming in, and probably more that I missed. He also broke out in a rash yesterday, and today we confirmed that he has Roseola. Poor baby! A sore mouth, splotchy skin and an irritable attitude. I sure hope he is feeling better soon!

Spaghetti Face

Grandpa Sargent is here!

We were so lucky to see Grandpa Sargent for a quick visit before he had to fly home to Germany. The weather was beautiful and we spent a lot of the day outside. The visit was too short, as always. Hopefully the kids will get to see him, and Halmony, again soon.

A New Home

Yesterday Superman and I signed the papers to move into a new apartment. We are both very excited to have a third bedroom for Superboy, and to be on one floor. Superboy will be crawling and walking soon, and the stairs are something that I just don't want to deal with. Packing the house isn't very fun, but it sure is giving us a chance to go through our stuff again. This has been one great advantage to moving every year or so, we don't accumulate too much junk.
We get to move in at the end of the month. I'll update with pictures of our new place.

Things haven't gone as planned and we are all staying at my parent's house for at least two weeks. At the beginning of the week, while the condo was being reroofed, they discovered a lot of damage to our condo. So, they have to make all these repairs before we move in. So, we moved a lot of out posessions into the unaffected rooms, and are just going to wait it out. Hopefully we will not have to wait for too long and we can move into our home.

Moving Day

Supergirl and Superboy were such a help during our move (ha ha), however they sure looked cute piled up in the back of Papa's truck.

The Frog Chair

Summertime brings about many things, one of which is the resurfacing of summer toys. Supergirl rediscovered her froggy chair today, and carried it with her thoughout the yard. She didn't know that I was watching her, but she was sitting in it, singing to herself. I am not sure exactly what it was about, but she makes up her own songs now. She'll sing about sunshine, trees, listening to mommy, whatever comes to mind. Once she noticed I was watching her she stopped, posed for a picture, and as you can see, leaned a little too far to the right. Oops!
