Take a picture of me mom!

Supergirl is beginning to have some jealosy issues with Superboy. She does not like when he gets special attention, and does everything she can to bring the focus back where it belongs- on her. We were sitting at the table, eating lunch, and I was taking some pictures of Superboy. Supergirl insisted that I take pictures of her as well. She posed with her apple slices to get that perfect shot. She is a ham, but she is sweet.

Halloween Party

This has been a really fun Halloween season. Supergirl is actually into dressing up, and understands what is going on. She is so excited to "trick treat" and to dress up as Snow White. I have a few shots of the kids before our ward Halloween party. I think I may be able to find some more, but these will do for now. Supergirl is a lovely Snow White and Superboy is the sweetest, snuggliest Lion ever!

Getting this kid to sit still was nearly impossible. He loves to move!

Caught Blue handed

Supergirl, as previously posted about, loves to paint. Well, it appear that Superboy does as well; his face that is. He got himself into a real mess. We all got a good laugh, but I dont' think he thought it tasted so great.

Pumpkin Picking

This year we went to Fall City Farms to pick our family pumpkins. The farm had two giant pumpkin patches for us to explore in order to find just the perfect pumpkins. They also had a pond with ducks, geese and a few chickens running around, a barn with yummy food, prepicked pumpkins and even a hay ride. Superboy and girl both had a great time, but to be honest, I think that I had the most fun. I love fall, I love pumpkins and I really loved this farm. I am so grateful that we found it and had such a great afternoon.

Gomo

We have had the best week! Superdad's sister D came to stay with us. We mostly call her Gomo, because that is the word for aunt in Korean. Supergirl, and Superboy just loved her, and I was so happy that she was here. We kept her busy everyday, which unfortunately made the week fly by. First we took her to Pike Place Market, and then we walked the waterfront for a bit. Gomo really wanted to see all of the flower vendors, and local craftsmen. Then we took Supergirl to the carousel, bought some delicious sourdough, and really enjoyed the beautiful weather down in Seattle. The next day we went to the Puyallup fair and spent the whole day looking at animals, eating very delicious food and playing lots of games. It was a great day to be out, not too hot or cold. The fair was pretty crowded, but we didn't mind. The kids were great. We did a lot of shopping at the outlet malls around the area as well. It was a great week. I really wish that Gomo lived closer so that we could see her all the time. I know that Supergirl already misses her. She asked me where Gomo went and wanted her to come back.

Preschool

Supergirl started preschool yesterday and absolutely loves it! She came home and told all about the things they did at Miss Tammy's. She shared about the stories they read, and about the toys they played. I had to work, so Superdad took care of everything, even taking her picture. He is such a good dad. Here is my big kid.

My helper

It was a really nice day out, so Supergirl was playing on the patio while I was watching her from inside. I began to help Superboy with something, and since I could still hear Supergirl outside I didn't worry. That is until she came into the house and told me that I need to come and blow out the candles on my cake (she is VERY into birthdays right now).
I walk out onto the porch to discover that she had plucked each and every flower off my plants and "re-planted" them into the dirt. She was smiling so big, and was so proud of herself for what she had created. I tried very hard not to be upset, and blew out my candles on my flower cake.
They'll grow back, right?

Mastered

A few months ago I bought Superboy tons of the Roll-a-Rounds balls, and fun little toys that he could use them with. Today however, was the first time that he picked up a ball and shoved it through the hole. It was the greatest thing to watch him problem solve and to accomlish his goal! I love watching him master new skills. He was so excited to set off the bells and whistles that rewarded his newest trick. This is all he wants to do now. Pick up ball. Push ball through hole. Say, "Yay" (yes he really says it). Do it again. Fun times at the Sargent house.

Finger Painting

Didn't you just love to finger paint? The oozy colors going everywhere; the floor, the walls, the clothes. Today was Supergirl's very first time fingerpainting and she LOVED it. She painted for over an hour, alternating between fingers and paintbrush.

The best part was that whenever I asked her if she wanted a new paper she'd politely reply, "No, Thanks" and just keep layering it on. This how Supergirl is. She doesn't do anything partly, or daintily. She covered every white speck of that paper twice over, and then she declared her masterpiece finished. Before bed she was already asking me if she could paint more tomorrow.

Perfect

This afternoon that is. We had a wonderful Sunday. My Sharing Time lesson went well, the kids were well behaved and Superman was off work. Here is a picture of the kiddos after church. I love that they will cuddle up and smile for the camera, even if it is for just a moment. This picture just sums up our Sunday. Happy kids, happy family. :)
