[cricket, cricket, cricket]

Hello! So, one of my new year's resolutions is to pull this 'ol blog out of a comatose state, and try and update at least once a month.

Lets start with a photo collage of what has been happening in the Sargent's lives since May.

MAY: Superbaby turned 1!  Here are some party pictures.

JUNE: Supergirl turned 5 years old and we moved to a new house end of June. Hooray!
Note her home-made lace-up ballet shoes :)

Our new house

JULY: Another fabulous trip to Lopez Island for the 4th. We survived a SUPER hot July and spent most of it in the sprinkler.

AUGUST: We spent lots of time up at Lake Wenatchee & the property

Can you see the Great Wall?

Deception Falls

SEPTEMBER: Supergirl started Kindergarten!

OCTOBER: We picked pumpkins at Fall City Farms. Peter Pan Halloween was so much fun!

Halloween!

NOVEMBER: Our yard had an endless supply of perfect jumping leaves. Superboy turnd 3 years old and we had a Firetruck birthday. Having a Fireman for a Grandpas is the best! Supergirl and Dad went on their first Daddy Daughter Date to Disney on Ice.

First Birthday Hanbok

The wedding

Ending a busy month with a bang, Aunt R and Uncle T got married! Everything was beautiful and perfect. We don't have a ton of shots, since we pretty busy with reception, or watching kids, but I wanted to share what we do have.
Supergirl was Aunt R's flower girl and got to get ready with the big girls. She felt so special!

All dressed up with no place to go. Killing time in the car before the reception begins. Thank heavens for in-car dvd players and Dairy Queen :)

Reception Hall. After 3 hours of set-up, we were ready for Show Time!

Superdad snapped this one. I think it is before the party got started...

Poor Superboy couldn't keep his pants up. We ended up using a safety pin and hooking his shirt and pants together. It was so funny.

Dancefloor boogy. The kids seemed to have the run of the place. Uncle T has 6 other brothers, which meant lots of adorable kids running around. It was a lot of fun.

Tractors, tractors, tractors

A nearby road has been under construction for the last few months. Everytime we drive by and Superboy can see construction vehicles he shouts out, "TRACTORS! DUMP TRUCKS!" We started stopping by and watching. He could have sat there for hours.

Me and my little construction man. Oh I just love him!

Some May stuff

Supergirl wrote her name on the ground with miscellaneous clutter (makes a momma proud). Can you see it? The pile to the lower left is a self portrait. The orange and duct tape are her eyes, while the jump rope makes up the bottom of her face and both arms. Of course she is wearing a silver party hat. Supergirl is always dressed for a party!
She was so proud of herself.

Hot spring night and all the cousins are in the pool. I am sure you can imagine how hard it was to get all 4 of them to sit still long enough for a picture. Superbaby especially enjoyed himself :)

Living-room Tent. We built this one afternoon and it provided hours of fun. Superbaby wanted so badly to join in, as soon as it was built he ran straight in and plunked himself right down in the corner. Smart kid.

thinking about it...

You know, I may just start blogging again.... maybe. I have so much to share, and I hate that my family and far-away friends haven't seen an update of my kids in so long.

perhaps tonight :)

some pics until then

Mom and Superboy watching the "tractors" work on the road. Almost all construction vehicles are tractors to him.
Supergirl on the patio playing with bubbles.

And Superbaby lovin' his pb&j sandwich :)

Superbaby Walks!

Yay! He has been playing with walking for about a week now, taking one step between a piece of furniture but nothing more than that. Well, on Thursday he was standing up, looked at Aunt K and walked to her! It was so great. And, just to make sure it wasn't a fluke, we set him up again and he walked to me. He was so proud of himself. Adorable.

Here is the video. It takes a bit to get the shot, but it is worth it :)

taking a break...

Yeah, so it appears that i just don't have the extra time right now to sit down and update this blog, as is evident in my lack of posts for the past 2 months. The little elves don't even work anymore, that is how long it has been... :(

The only break I get is after the kids are in bed and honestly, by that time of night, I am nearly ready to pass out. I tend to lie in a semi-vegitative state on the couch for an hour before going to bed.

When things slow down a bit, I may pick it back up.

For some reason, by announcing it to everyone, I feel like less of a failure at blog writing :) I mean, it is ok to fail at some things if you are successful at others, right? Like, my kids all have clean clothes on today, and we had FHE this week, my laundry is all done (not put away, just done) and there are no dishes in the sink. Just not so hot at the blog writing :)

So, until April at least, talk to you later!

Here's some pictures to tide you over until then

Superbaby LOVES to eat real food now. He will smack his lips at us when he is ready to eat. So funny. He also has cut (and is still cutting) a lot of teeth. He has 6 going on 8. He'll be 9 mos old next week. How time flies! As does he, now that he is an expert crawler :)
Supergirl is so in love with Sleeping Beauty right now. She is being a good big sister and really likes being given "big girl" jobs. She loves her preschool so much and is learning a lot.

Superboy is growing up so fast. He is still my sweetheart, but he is definitely in his terrible 2's. The talking back-testing the limits-tantrum throwing stage is exhausting, but is so rewarding too. His world is trains, tractors and food. Man, does he love to eat!
