Christmas Sunday

Before we left for church we got a few shots of the kiddos in their Christmas Best. Halmony (Grandma Sargent) always sends the cutest dress clothes for the kids, and they worked perfectly for Christmas. The family picture is a bit dark, but I had the camera set up too far away for the flash I guess. Merry Christmas!

Ivar's Clam Lights

This year we discovered the Ivar's Clam Lights display at Coulon Beach on Lake Washington. Being someone who LOVES christmas lights, I don't know how I have lived here my whole life and never new about this display. A huge section of lake front is completely covered with lights, including the boardwalk, pier, restaurants and just about every tree. It was a beautiful display and is definitely one that we will be returning to next year...with hot cocoa.

Cookie Party

Supergirl is in a great neighborhood preschool that she just loves! Last night her teacher threw a Cookie Party for the children and their families. It was a lot of fun. Here are some highlights from the night.
Miss T had a little table set up for all of the kids to decorate some cookies.
As you can see, Supergirl is a fan of the sprinkles. Seriously.
Miss T filled a cute stocking for each of the kids.

Splish Splash

Lately Superboy hasn't been too fond of baths. Basically he screams. However, tonight was a rare exception and he didn't cry, in fact, I think we could say that he even had some fun. Who doesn't love a good rub-a-dub-dub in the tub?

Cutting Cookies

Just a few pictures of Supergirl cutting out our cookies to take to the decorating party.
She did such a good job!

Run, run as fast as you can...

I am afraid that many a Gingerbread Man meets a grim demise in our family. Every year we all gather (yes, ALL 22 of us) in our reddest of shirts and decorate gingerbread cookies. This is the oldest tradition in our family, and one that is still going strong. The methods have changed, but the red shirts will always remain the same. Besides being fun, it is certainly delicious :)

Super Sonics!

My friend Kristie invited me and some friends to go to a Sonics game with her. This was my first Sonics game ever and we had INCREDIBLE seats. Yes, that is Squach sitting on my lap :) The game was great. Really close and of course we won, making the night even better!

Nice seats huh?

Ha Ha! There isn't much to say about this except "how cute are baby bums?"

Lights!

My official job as "mom" puts me in charge of putting the lights on the tree each year. Supergirl likes tO "help", and we all put the family ornaments on the tree together. We conveniently waited until Superboy was asleep to put the ornaments on. I think that Supergirl really liked the ornaments, especially when she was pulling them all off to play with. The tree is currently decorated from 4 feet and up. As they pull them off, we put them back on the top. Not very balanced, but a lot easier to keep everything on the tree.

Trinity Tree Farm- MY FAVORITE!

I love cutting down our own Christmas tree. True, they are too $$, and drop needles, and have to be watered and maintained, but oh the smell! Each year our family goes to the most perfect tree farm in Issaquah http://www.trinitytreefarm.com/. You cut your own tree, can ride a train, drink free hot cocoa and shop in the gift shop. Every year our family takes pictures in front of the old firetruck that they have on the property. This is one of my favorite family traditions.
